Milwaukee Wedding Photography - Meg and Nick

As soon as I arrived at St. Augustine’s church in Milwaukee, I was greeted by Meg’s warm smile. She was the most calm bride I’ve ever seen, walking around in her day-clothes and veil. When I caught up with Nick, he was just as calm, enjoying some time with the guys before the ceremony. And the wedding overall? Just as chill…the wedding party, the reception at the Eisner Museum, the families, everything - absolutely beautiful!

The reception was held at the Eisner Museum of Advertising Design in Milwaukee (on Water Street in the Historic Third Ward district). It’s a wonderful setting for a wedding…and quite appropriate since Nick has a degree in marketing.

Meg and Nick, I had an amazing time hanging out downtown Milwaukee with you, your wedding party, and family. I wish I could do it over and over, but I know that you two will only be married once!

Stevens Point Wedding Reception - Jason and Liz

You may remember Jason and Liz from their St. Paul Engagement Photos at the Como Conservatory…it seemed like so long ago! They were married in Hawaii earlier this year and had their wedding reception in Stevens Point. Because the day only consisted of a reception, they opted to do something a little different, a little fun, and a little crazy for their guests — a Wild Photobooth! It was great to see guests both young and old having fun with the props…it made for a very memorable night!

Plover Wedding Photography - Mike and Rachel

If I had a nickel for every wedding day this summer that threatened rain, I’d have one pocket full of nickels. And if I had another nickel for every day we lucked out where the rain just missed us, I’d have two pockets full of nickels. Rachel and Mike’s wedding day was no exception…and neither was their engagement session last year! But I don’t think anyone noticed the weather - with the beautiful bright colors and crazy family shenanigans going on (Rachel and Mike being attacked with foam-shooting guns…the great “safety dance” performance during the reception…), I think everyone went home with sore cheeks and bellies from laughing so hard!

Meet Lexie

Ok, so some of you may have already met Lexie…she has been my assistant all summer for weddings. We decided that before she moved away to college we should have a play-date with our cameras, so we did exactly that!

Lexie is an amazing photographer, and she just graduated from high school! I like to say she came from the streets…but really it’s only because the way we met — she was out taking her own senior portraits on the streets of Stevens Point! I think this girl eats, sleeps, and breathes photography! I’m excited that she’ll be back as my assistant next summer!
