Stevens Point Wedding Photography - Emiah and Holly

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

Ok, no more sappy little movies, just a happy wedding! Holly and Emiah had the perfect fall day for their wedding in the park…it was a little chilly outside, but nobody seemed to notice - Holly and Emiah stole the show!

Holly is actually my second cousin…we used to work together and we had no idea that we were related. It was at least a year before we figured out that our grandmothers are sisters. It was completely coincidental that both Holly and I ended up in Stevens Point since our families are from Michigan. Small world! I was very excited when Holly asked me to play such an important role at her wedding.

Their ceremony sets the record for speed this season…5 minutes!

The ceremony and group photos were taken at Iverson Park.

I have to shout out to Jamie for coming up with the light display on the wall, it made for a great backdrop all evening!

The dance floor wasn’t always this empty

The kids all kicked off their shoes on the dance floor…I guess glitter shoes are in?

I don’t know what their first song was, but it was unique and they both knew how to sing it!

Thank you Holly and Emiah for asking me to be a part of your wedding, it was certainly a fun day (and night!)

Thanks to Dave Jackson for the original posting of this short film. It is an awesome short film by Michael Buck and Troy Perkins in collaboration with many people from UW-Oshkosh. It was filmed in Oshkosh, Neenah, Hortonville and New London. Justin Bricco from the Blueheels plays the lead roll.

Stevens Point Wedding Photography - Nick and Jen

Saturday, November 15th, 2008

I’ve known Nick and Jen a while, so I was very honored when they asked me to be their wedding photographer. Even though it rained pretty much the whole day of their wedding, nothing got them down!

The girls at Studio 2827 did a wonderful job with everyone’s hair

The ceremony was at a really great church in Amherst

I don’t know what kind of advice Nick is receiving here…maybe “if you’re going to run , better do it now son!” ;)

Nick and Jen, and their wedding party, were such good sports - risking getting all muddy in the park. We went out in the pouring rain and got some great photos.

The wedding party…clowns!

The cutting of the cake was also entertaining

This photo was actually taken inside an elevator!

The guests were certainly having a good time!

River Falls Wedding Photography - Kim and Travis

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

It seems like so long ago that I met with Kim to go over wedding details. We both drove halfway across the state in a snowstorm for brunch at this little Norwegian restaurant…mmm that pie was good! I can remember being really excited for Travis and Kim’s wedding - and it certainly was a good time!

I don’t know who did Kim’s hair and makeup, but they did a wonderful job:

The ceremony was in a small church in Beldenville:

Kim had the most unique ring I’d seen all summer:

They also had the most unique party favors!

After the ceremony we headed to the Kilkarney Golf Course in River Falls.
While the girls tried to pick up Travis…
