Kim Larson

The Artist: Kim Larson

Ever since the age of four, when I received my first set of markers, I have been aiming to produce fine art. Although I began by leaving my mark on much of my parent's furniture, I did move on to other mediums such as painting and sculpture. But it wasn't until age eight, when a camera was placed in my hands, that my direction in art started changing. Armed with an old camera and some flash bulbs, I ended up with multiple photos of blurry barn cats. However I continued to practice my photography skills and finally in highschool I was given the opportunity to learn the technical side of photography, soon moving to digital format.

While studying Web and Digital Media Development in college, I started working with Laura Sedivy of Laura J Studios, who showed me a fresh side of photojournalistic wedding photography. I have continued to keep up with the latest in wedding photography trends, studying with Kodak's 2008 Photographer to Watch Mike Fulton and Cody Clinton of TriCoast Photography, Lorri Downs of Remember Me Photography, and Kodak's 2007 Photographer to Watch Jen Hillenga of Momento Images. I also attend photography seminars throughout the year.

My goals are simple. I want you to have fun during your photography sessions, and I want to provide you with a smile every time you look at your Life is Art Photographs.

Let the pictures tell your story!
